Magento 2 Enterprise – response to the needs of small and large e-commerce players

In Enterprise version has applied separated database, for ex. for checkout, order management or product data. This solution allows the isolations of system functions and avoids problems with performance during overload. It’s worth adding, that each main database can have many subordinate databases (on the basis of Master-Slave), which additionally scales the system.

For performance optimization the platform, based on Rabbit MQ, enables a task processing in an asynchronous way, using a separate resource.

Instead of investing in a separate loyalty system, we can use the built-in native solution available in the Enterprise version. The rules for granting points, for example, are definable and can be awarded for purchases, the process of account registration, subscription to newsletters or a number of other activities.

Besides the ability of gathering points, the module of loyalty program includes lots of other elements, which are a substitute for external systems. Thanks to them we can save time, means and most of all- resources essential to implementation of this element. It is especially in case of implementation of first online sales system or migration.

Stability of Magento 2 Enterprise Edition development

Middle and big e-commerce companies value stability in the range of service suppliers. That’s why the fears in case of the choice of sales platform for beginners on the online market are fully understandable. The same thing is in the case of migration from currently using platforms.

The minimum implementation value of the extended version of Magento 2 is an investment of min. 18 thousand dollars a year. At first glance, this may seem like a big cost considering the Polish realities. However, when we get acquainted with the price lists of Polish platforms – Magento 2 Enterprise performs very well. On medium-sized, relatively advanced e-commerce, we have to put up about a minute. 20-25 thousand license fee per year. Unfortunately, as part of this fee, we do not have support after the implementation or a number of other previously described facilities. Foreign solutions are much more expensive, and we get extensive platforms, in the case of which some modules may turn out to be completely unnecessary and unused.

Polish market has big development capabilities in the range of online stores based on Magento Enterprise, but on the west there are lots of excellent thriving online shops built on Magento 2 Enterprise. Selected examples below.

Effect of implementations


The implementation of the Enterprise version for the Australian company was very significant. There was a 40% drop in the average page load, which translated into a 38% increase in conversions for the desktop version, and a 60% increase for the mobile version.

Sean Venturi, the Venroy owner, says that one of the advantages of the implementation is an user-friendly administration panel, which allowed to implement „out-of-box” version in 8 weeks.
